Inspired by Kip Fulbeck's work with faces and portraits, this card game attracted us with its playful approach to identity and memory.
Combining memory, matching and more, 'Bouta Face is the one-of-a-kind card game that uses both sides of the cards on every turn! There are No Fronts, No Backs, No Suits and No Numbers, just fun funny faces to amuse, challenge and match to win. 'Bouta Face can be played by 2-4 players or two teams of two.
The object of the game is simple—win the most cards. Players win cards by correctly matching a face seen in a special row of cards called the "match row." The catch; the matcher can use only the face down images located in their own match row to successfully match an opponent. Remembering a single match row card may be a breeze for some, but play intensifies as players try to keep track of two, six or more hidden faces over multiple rounds of play.
Learning the game takes minutes and the challenge of devising winning strategies never ends. If you have trouble recalling names, but never forget a face, then 'Bouta Face is the game for you!
